One detail really stood out: we returned from a hike with muddy shoes and left them outside our room. The next morning, we found them freshly cleaned in the same spot—without ever asking. This level of attention to detail is truly 5-star-plus service.

The rooms are spotless, the towels are soft and good-smelling, and overall everything felt flawless.

Breakfast and dinner exceeded expectations as well. During dinner, kudus and warthogs would occasionally come by to graze nearby, creating a magical atmosphere.

For our tours, we received delicious lunch boxes—another thoughtful touch.

We did our safari with James, whom I can highly recommend; he’s like a walking encyclopedia and clearly passionate about wildlife. I also recommend Roger’s night tour—he is very knowledgeable and shares fascinating insights about nature and Africa.

Overall, you can really feel the heart, passion, and care that goes into hospitality at Riverside Lodge. We truly enjoyed our stay and could finally relax after some less comfortable moments during our travels through Africa.

We are usually very demanding when it comes to service, but here everything runs smoothly and efficiently. 
Esti and her team are pure gold. They fulfil every request, organising everything quickly and with such care, as if you were a guest in her own home. 
The food is genuinely delicious, without exaggeration. 
The safaris — both group and private — are excellently organised. The lodge has two of its own comfortable vehicles, so there is no waiting and no chaos. Transfers are just as good: always on time and very clear. 
In the mornings and evenings, impalas, zebras, and warthogs come right up to the lodge — a special pleasure to watch them directly from the garden.
